Description
HB mitsubishi 9800 matured micro graphite lead PENCIL on strathmore medium drawing PAPER with pentel hi-polymer ERASER. Original size 11"*14", cropped to 11"*8" on the scanner at 300dpi, and scaled down in adobe photodeluxe.
A portrait I was inspired to do after watching Enemy At The Gates, where she's sooooo hott. Yeah, I'm going from wedding brides to hotties. My summer skit director had a curious resemblance to her, although it's hard to tell from this sketch. I found a variety of her photos- one of them involved being nude and wrapped with a real boa constrictor (Esquire has some odd tastes...) and this one seemed best. I used my Epson CX5400 because it's amazing~ and here I've converted the DuraBrites to good old graphite.
I think her eyebrows might be a little off- she had really distinct dark ones in the photo, but here they're a little pale. The paper texture from harder pencil ended up creating bright indents, which are noticible in the scanning process... And the eye-mouth direction is a little off from the photo, but it's okay...
About 6 hours (?) over 10 days. Wow. That's not that much time. I think I'm getting better at these sketches!! My goal is to get a solid portrait in under 3 hours, so I can start sketching real girls- which would be hot. Heyy- you wanna be my next model??
sooo sketchy.
